| Can I ask why you have cancelled the Hogrock Festival due to take place in the Commercial pub on 6th September? A lot of hard work and effort has gone into organising the event which was due to be a major success and a great day of entertainment from local musicians getting to show off their talents. I am deeply disappointed to hear the event has been cancelled due to Easingwold Town Council.one day of the year to have live music all through the day for all ages to enjoy and it has been ripped to shreds by yourselves. I would much appreciate a reply with an explanation. | |||||

| Hi, I have been checking my family history and my Grandfather John Smithson Dunnill is from Easingwold. His surname is his mothers maiden name and his middle name is possibly that of his father (Born out of wedlock) who may have been a butcher (Smithson) in the area around the turn of the century. Can anyone throw some light on this for me? It would be good to meet some Smithsons connected to the family sometime maybe. Thanks for your help in this matter. | |||||
