In
1639 George Hall obtained from
Charles I Letters Patent under the Privy Seal to hold a free
market at Easingwold every Friday. |
|
In
1922 the Easingwold Branch of the British Legion purchased the
market rights and conveyed them to the Parish Council. |
|
The
market is still held every Friday and is one of the most successful
in the area. The rent is £10.50 per stall. If you are interested
in renting a stall please contact the Clerk. |
