Easingwold Market Place

The market operates every Friday with the exception of Good Friday (when it operates on Thursday instead) and Christmas Day (when it falls on a Friday).

The rent is £11.00 per stall, increasing to £12.00 after 1/04/12. If you are interested in renting a stall please contact the Clerk.

Our market sells a wide variety of everyday items including cheeses, meat, organic meat, savoury breads, eggs, chutneys, cakes & biscuits, olives, fruit & vegetables, fresh fish, grocery items and household products. There are also specialist stalls selling antiques, books, stationery, nightwear, ladies wear, jewellery, handbags, cosmetics, fragrances, plants & flowers and pet supplies.

Currently all stalls are rented out under individual contracts with market traders, however a waiting list is operated by the Clerk. When stalls become vacant on an adhoc basis e.g. market traders' illness or holidays, the Clerk offers people on the waiting list the opportunity to trade on a casual basis.

Duplication of goods
The Council aims to ensure a varied range of stalls are on offer and, with the exception of the longstanding practice of allowing two fruit and vegetable stalls, will not duplicate main classes of goods listed for each stall.
