Easingwold Town Council is consulted by
Hambleton District Council (HDC) on all planning applications
submitted for areas within the town boundaries and also those
nearby which would have a major impact upon life in the town.
The Town Council Planning Committee meets
monthly, usually on the third Monday of each calendar month at
6.30pm. If HDC need a response before the next scheduled Planning
Committee meeting, an additional Planning Committee will meet.
The recommendations by the Committee are reported to the full
Town Council meeting for ratification.
The final recommendations by the Town Council
are passed direct to HDC Planning Department for consideration,
along with responses from all other consultees e.g. NYCC Highways,
Environment Agency etc.
Planning decisions are made by Hambleton District Council.
The Town Council receives one copy of each
application which is available for the public to view. All plans
can also be viewed online using the link at the bottom of the
page
Once the consultation period for the planning application has
passed, the Town Council holds the application on file for one
year. If you wish to view an application older than this, you
should contact HDC Planning Office.
Comments or observations on Planning Applications
should be sent direct to the Planning Officer named on the relevant
application and if possible, copied to the Town Council for information.
Those whose planning applications are refused
have the right to appeal to the Planning Inspectorate; full details
are available from HDC. |
